SEPTEMBER 2009

24th September: NHS Get Involved Health Day, Plymouth Guildhall - 4 new LINk members signed up and 2 new pieces of feedback

26th September: LINk went to the Eid party at Plymouth Guildhall and signed up 1 new member

OCTOBER 2009

20th October: Healthy Bones Event at Derriford Health & Leisure Centre. Event for osteoporosis sufferers, carers and professionals as part of World Osteoporosis Day. 3 new members signed up and 15 pieces of feedback received.

25th October: Respect Festival at Plymouth Guildhall. 62 new members signed up and 6 pieces of feedback received.

NOVEMBER 2009

28th November: Unity event at the Council House, open to all people from BME communities. LINk stand and presentation.

DECEMBER 2009

2nd December: LINk stand at the Drake Circus Shopping Mall. An opportunity to pick up information, join the LINk and give feedback.

4th December: Carers' Rights Day at Plymouth Guildhall, 11 am to 3 pm. LINk will have a stand.

5th December: Opening of new Waves one-stop shop (for older people) in Frankfurt Gate. LINk will be respresented.

16th December: Annual Supper at the Plymouth Centre for Faiths and Cultural Diversity (PCFCD), Watts Road, St. Judes. LINk will be represented.

JANUARY 2010

11th to 15th January: LINk will be represented at a Home Security Roadshow at the Waves one-stop shop in Frankfurt Gate.

14th January: Welcome to the LINk, 2pm to 4pm, Conference Room, HQ Building, 237 Union Street. This session is for all new volunteers and for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for the LINk. Please let us know if you would like to attend.

27th January: Holocaust Memorial Day (details to be confirmed)

19th March: Improving Reach Symposium at the Holiday Inn. This event is for volunteers and will raise awareness of faith groups and BME groups and encourage integration. Details to be confirmed.

APRIL 2010

27th May: Beating Stigma Event at Drake Circus. Details to be confirmed.

JUNE 2010

JULY 2010

6th July: Plymouth LINk Annual General Meeting at the Copthorne Hotel, from 6pm until 8pm. Free buffet.

17th July: LINk Annual Celebration in the Piazza, City Centre from 10am until 4pm. Watch this space for more details!
